Social Worker, Teacher and Political Activist. Her parents met during the San Francisco Earthquake and Fire. Samuel Batdorf was helping to evacuate Laura Dolan (and others)by ferry over to Oakland. They had two children; Sylvia and Wayne, both now deceased. My mother was interviewed by Larry A. Miller of the New Settler Magazine the day before she was killed in an auto accident. A large part of her life story is told in Issue 27 (January 1988). |
