except for that big concrete dam at the top of the falls. Actually, during a good portion of the year, there is enough water in the river that these falls are spectacular looking. Unfortunately, when we came through, Montana was heading for record drought conditions, and every drop of water was being channelled through the powerhouse, out of the view of this picture. When there is more water flowing, a lot is sent over the spillways, and onto the falls. |
